Stop Sinking My Boat

In addition to identifying as a Bad Ass Behavioral Scientist, I'm also an aspiring musician, singer, and songwriter. My goal is to write songs that are consistent with the science of behavior and learning in the service of creating content that will be more accessible. This is a song I wrote last year and am currently composing piano music to go along with it. If there are any of you out there who love music as much as I do and are interested in collaborating on a project in the future, let me know!!
Stop Sinking My Boat
Written by Abby Twyman in October 2018
My vessel is full of hateful words
Put there by you, repeated by me.
It's getting harder to stay afloat
Can't bail myself out, alone in this boat.
Need you to listen, it's too hard to speak
There's hate in your eyes and I'm feeling too weak
The burden is heavy, no relief in sight
I'm sinking fast, one last word, then I'll die.
Let go of the hate, we're all human, you see
Kind words float boats and save humanity.
